Seminar

In August 3, Sever Minerals and Metso Mining and Construction arranged for Murmansk area customers a seminar about "Innovative solutions in fine crushing and fine grinding". The following issues were highlighted in the seminar as well: automation control of technological processes, wear resistant material, fine crushing process improvements and examples of equipment service. "The seminar presented technologies which allow to improve significantly efficiency and productivity of processing mines, as well as to minimize negative impact on the environment. Today, these solutions are very popular in the European market and are becoming increasingly popular in Russia," – commented Oleg Abramov, the head of the commercial branch of the service department of Metso Mining and Construction. For example, vertical fine grinding mills Vertimill and SMD (which were presented at the seminar) can help to decrease power consumption and to lower emissions of black carbon by 30%-50% in comparison to the traditional grinding mills. Metso Mining and Construction pays particular attention to wear - resistant materials. The use of them greatly reduces repairing and labor costs for the equipment.
This is the third workshop, which was held in Murmansk. About 50 people attended the seminar. Among them are the largest enterprises of the Murmansk region and Russia: the JSC “Olcon”, the JSC “Karelsky Okatysh, the JSC “Apatit”, the JSC “Kolskaya GMK”, the JSC “Kovdorsky GOK” and the JSC “North-Western Phosphoric Company”.
