The first cone crusher of series MP 800 in Russia

In April 11, 2012, first cone crusher of series MP800 in Russia was commissioned in Olenegorsk mining and processing plant. Specialists from Metso Mining and Construction along with specialists from Sever Minerals took part in the commissioning of the equipment. According to Alexander Popov, the Executive Director of the JSC “Olkon”, the installation of the cone crusher of series MP 800 will reduce plant energy consumption, optimize production costs and, ultimately, reduce the cost of the product. Commissioning of MP800 crusher will allow the plant to replace four crushing stages by three crushing stages, simultaneously improving quality of crushed product. As it was shown in first laboratory tests of the crushed materials, with the production of 1400 tons per hour and feeding of ore- 380 mm, the crusher produces 99% grade- 60mm. According to John Stark, an American service engineer from Metso responsible for the start-up operations, the installation of the crusher was according to the schedule, and Sever Minerals provided full technical support for the installation supervisors, as well as arranged transportation, tools and materials.
